Low Hitting Alertness? Let’s Fix It!

Time and time again, as I stand back to pitch someone batting practice I looked at the hitter’s eyes so I can get an understanding of what they are looking at and what they are thinking about, JUST BEFORE THE BATTER SEES THE BALL. It’s way too often when I pitch the ball and as I look at the hitter’s eyes they look empty, blank, and thoughtless.

This leaves me with the impression that the hitter may be DAYDREAMING just before he sees the pitch. This is not good! We can almost conclude that the hitter’s ALERTNESS LEVEL, just before he sees the pitch, is very low. We need to fix this immediately!
